Welcome Back to Disney! I hope you enjoyed my post last week on the Top 12 Hannah Montana Episodes. This week is yet another Hannah Montana-related post. I know you're probably thinking, "Man this girl is obsessed with Hannah Montana". Don't worry this will be my last post about Hannah Montana for a while. I just thought since I already ranked and talked about the top 12 episodes of Hannah Montana, I must rank and discuss the Top 3 Songs from Every Hannah Montana Album since the music is a HUGE part of what made the show what it is today.
A brief note before we begin: this ranking includes only songs attributed to Hannah Montana, not Miley Cyrus. This means that certain songs that were also BIG hits and had a huge impact on my life that I also really love, such as "The Climb", Hoedown Throwdown", "Butterfly Fly Away", "I Learned from You", and all the songs from the Meet Miley Cyrus disc, are ineligible for this list. (Trust me I wanted to include them.) So, let's get into the list of the Top 3 Songs from Every Hannah Montana Album.
Album #1: Hannah Montana

1. The Best of Both Worlds - This is my most favorite song from the first album of Hannah Montana because not only is it the theme song of the show, but it is easily the most iconic of all Hannah Montana's songs. When that drum beat hits at the beginning you get instantly excited to listen to the rest of the song. In other words, it is a non-skippable song, which is always great. It is also very catchy and makes you want to get up and dance, which I love when a song can do that. In my opinion, this song did for Hannah Montana what "Dreams Are Made Of" did for the Lizzie McGuire Movie. It is just one of the more if not most memorable Hannah Montana songs to me. It is in the pop-rock genre of music which I also love. The song is one of several Hannah Montana songs that explicitly allude to Miley's double life: regular teen girl from Tennessee who moved to California by day and pop star by night. In the song, Miley sings about the advantages and privileges that are faced in leading two separate lives. With references to Orlando Bloom, friendship, school, concerts and film premieres.

2. Who Said - This is my second favorite song from the first Hannah Montana album because I really love the message of this song and it's really catchy and upbeat. This song is a really good empowerment anthem. "Who Said" isn't about being an ordinary high schooler and a pop star. It's about being Superman, president, 10 feet tall, or whatever else she sets her mind to. It's a classic teen pop song but its lyrics are about individualism, per the lines "I'm individual/I'm not like anyone". This is just another great pop-rock song to dance to and the message still holds up today. I can also relate to a lot of the lyrics in this song. As I feel like a lot of times people have doubted me and said you can't be this or that, that some things are impossible to do, but I believe in the message of this song (as should everyone) that nothing is impossible. I like to say with God all things are possible.

3. I Got Nerve - This is another classic bop from Hannah Montana. Every time I turn this song on I automatically just want to get up and dance and sing it loud from the rooftops. It is definitely a song that stands alone from the rest of the songs on the album. "I Got Nerve" is about knowing your worth, holding your ground, and having a whole lot of...well...nerve. There's something about a girl celebrating her own stubbornness and fully acknowledging that she not only knows what she wants and deserves, but that she is going to stop at nothing to get it. This is me to a T. As I'm really stubborn myself and know what I want and will stop at nothing to get it. I love a good spunky, girl-power anthem and that is exactly what this song is.

Album #2: Hannah Montana 2

1. Nobody's Perfect - This is the best song from the second Hannah Montana album for many reasons. I mean the title says it all. I love when you know what a song is about automatically just by seeing or reading the title. If I could only choose one couplet to define my childhood, it would be the iconic first couple lines of this song, "Everybody makes mistakes/ Everybody has those days". I mean the nostalgia that lights up inside of me every time I hear this song is insane. This song is definitely the most memorable from the second season of the show. Anytime someone randomly says "nobody's perfect" this song instantly plays in my head along with the mental image of the performance from the show. Also, let's not forget about the spoken-word bridge that Hannah preaches about picking yourself back up again after being knocked down. I mean who didn't always wait for that part of the song to come on and recite these lines a million times over (okay not literally a million but you get the idea). Let's just recite it again below for old times sake:
Next time you feel like
It's just one of those days
When you just can't seem to win
If things don't turn out the way you plan
Figure something else out
Don't stay down, try again, yeah!
Not only does this song make you want to get up and sing and dance along, but the message about the importance of overcoming mistakes being that nobody's perfect is a simple but great message for people of any age. This song still holds true today.

2. Life's What You Make It - This is my second favorite song from Hannah Montana's second album because of the lyrics, the beat, and the overall message. This is a very optimistic song, which I love. Again, the title says it all and it is a good life mantra people should always think about. I remember seeing Hannah Montana perform this during a Disney Channel commercial break at the 2007 Disney Channel Games and I've loved it ever since. This is another great dance song and is great for anyone to put on when they are feeling down or having a bad day. I know I still do sometimes. I mean everyone can relate to this song at one point or another.

3. Bigger Than Us - This is my third favorite song from the second Hannah Montana album because it is more of a ballad song and also has a great message. I love ballads and songs with great and important messages. I feel like this song is very underrated, as well. I mean I can admit that I didn't remember this song or play this song as much as I did Hannah's other songs, as a kid, until a few years ago when I was on one of my Hannah Montana kicks. When I was going back watching all the episodes of the show and re-listening to all of the songs from the show. I definitely understand this song better and appreciate it more now as I've gotten older. This is more unique and different from the other songs on the second album. As it is very moving and deep. The song itself is cute and has a fairly catchy, anthemic chorus.
The meaning of this song is great, too. This song is about how everyone wants to believe in something bigger than they are (love being one of them) and about how love is something you can hold onto because it's bigger and better than all the other bad things out there. It's more of a romantic type song, as the beat kind of gives off that vibe, as well as the lyrics. But I also like to attribute some of the lyrics to God being love because God is love. When the song says, "We all wanna be a part/ Of the greater picture/ That's hanging in our hearts/ Yeah it's bigger than us/ It fills the universe/ Lights the skies above..." I make that to mean we all want to be a part of God's greater picture for us (our beginning and our ending), his plan for our life, as God is bigger than us, fills the universe, and lights the skies above. So, that's also why I really love this song because I can relate it to my faith.

Album #3: Hannah Montana: The Movie
1. You'll Always Find Your Way Back Home - This is my favorite song from Hannah Montana: The Movie soundtrack because it's catchy, upbeat, and offers the universal truth that "You can learn to fly and you can chase your dreams/ You can laugh and cry but everybody knows/ You'll always find your way back home". I mean how true is this? Very true. Even though this was the last song featured in the movie, it was hands-down one of the best in the movie (besides of course "The Climb" and "Butterfly Fly Away"). This is a more country-pop song, which I'm not a big fan of country music but if pop is included and Hannah Montana is singing it then I love it. But it also has some pop-rock influence. Lyrically, the track is about staying grounded and going back to one's roots, which I think is a great message. It also conveys, in this case, the sentiment that even pop stars find safe haven in their hometown. It is also believed that the first few lyrics of the song's chorus are almost identical to the opening verse in Hilary Duff's song "So Yesterday", which is another great song that I love from a Disney alumnus, so it makes sense why I love this song, too.

2. Let's Get Crazy - This is my second favorite song from the Hannah Montana: The Movie soundtrack because it is just a fun, upbeat, straight pop song. It is another great dance song from Hannah Montana and the lyrics speak about just having fun and letting loose. There is even a beat of paparazzi camera flashes at the start of the song, which is unique and fun. There is also subtle messages in the song, as well. As one lyric says, "You see me on the cover of a magazine, remember/ Things are always different than the way that they seem", meaning that you should not always believe everything you read or see in the media about someone, which would refer to social media nowadays. This is a message that still holds up today.

3. Let's Do This - This is my third favorite song that Hannah sings on the Hannah Montana: The Movie soundtrack because it's a classic party-dance track. This song is a little more rock than all the other songs on the album, but still a bit of country-pop. This song is just all about inviting fans to enjoy the excitement of a live concert. There's not much to it or many reasons why I like it, but there were really no other good song options by Hannah Montana on this album. So, I had to pick it. With the lines "You came a long way to be with us/ You paid good money to see a show/ So let's get ready 'cause here we go", which is about owing her fans a good performance. So, this song is mainly for the fans and a great celebratory song.

Album #4: Hannah Montana 3

1. He Could Be the One - This is my favorite song from my favorite episode in season 3 of Hannah Montana and the fourth album because it is just a masterful pop song that still holds up today. It's a female-driven twangy, fast-talking, genre-blending pop song. Although, it's mostly a pop song it does contain country-rock elements, as well. This song's lyrics are all about a special crush, but not just one special crush, two special crushes, which makes this song different and unique from others. This is a very fun song to listen to and is probably relatable to some girls as well when it comes to having guy crushes.

2. I Wanna Know You - This is my second favorite song from another one of my favorite episodes from season 3 of Hannah Montana and her fourth album because it is a cute bop about wanting to get to know someone. It's just that simple, but iconic, nonetheless. it has always been a standout favorite of mine and still is to this day.

3. Just A Girl - This is my third favorite song from Hannah Montana's fourth album because it is a slow ballad about being an ordinary girl who feels lost and out of touch with who she used to be because of the fame that has changed her. Every time I listen to this song it makes me get a little choked up and sad. It's very melancholy, but I love sad songs that make you feel something and make you think and that is exactly what this song does for me. I really like the part of this song when she sings, "I'm just a girl/ With a dream that got the best of me/ In a world, that believes fame is everything/ Gotta outta touch/ With the ones who gave me my wings to fly, to fly". I think that is such a real and true statement and good message about how even today a lot of people tend to focus on the wrong things in life, such as fame, followers, and status. Those things are not important. A lot of people, even myself sometimes, lose touch with reality and what's really important in life, which to me is faith in God and the relationships you make here on this earth with the people you love. Sometimes I can get or feel out of touch with the One (God) who gave me everything I have and continues to give me. But when that happens, just like she says in this song, I just try to do and be better. So, this song can be relatable to so many people. Overall, I just really love the message and simplicity of this song. It's very different from any of the others on the album and one of the most realest. I even liked how when she performed this at her live concert for the scenes of the show as she is singing this song she slowly takes off all of her glam to reveal just a true normal not so fancy version of herself. To show a real person.

Album #5: Hannah Montana Forever
1. Wherever I Go - This is my first favorite song on the Hannah Montana Forever album because it is another powerful ballad and has a good, strong message. This was the final song that played on the last ever episode of Hannah Montana which makes this song all the more sad, but it also gives hope. It's all about moving on and saying goodbye to the past to turn to a new chapter in life. But also knowing that you'll always have the memories to hold onto wherever you go. I love the instrumental piano that starts and ends the song, as well. It's just an overall sad, but great song.
2. I'll Always Remember You - This is my second favorite song from the last Hannah Montana album because it's a very solemn, meaningful mid-tempo ballad song. Again, this is another sad song but a very memorable one at that. I can also relate this song to my life, to a loved one that I've lost. With the lyrics "But yesterday's gone/ We gotta keep moving on/ I'm so thankful for the moments/ So glad I got to know ya/ The times that we had/ I'll keep like a photograph/ And hold you in my heart forever/ I'll always remember you". I'm sure a lot of people can really relate to these lyrics and apply them to their own life, as well. This song really makes you feel something deep. It is similar to "Wherever I Go"but it stands on its own, too. As they are still both different in sound and how they make you feel. I feel a little more sad listening to this song than when I listen to "Wherever I Go". Overall, there's not much to say about this song. It's just one of my top favorites from this album for these reasons.

3. Ordinary Girl - This is my third favorite song from the Hannah Montana Forever album and the last album because it is very unique from the rest, is relatable, and has a really great message. Even though it is another song about her double life, it is still a different song from what she ever put out as Hannah Montana along with the black and white music video. As even in the music video she doesn't appear in it at all (except on a TV for a second that the actors in the music video are watching of her). I still remember the first time seeing the music video for this song on Disney Channel during commercial breaks and being like, "This is different". It is unique in that it is the only Hannah Montana song with its own proper music video, as the others were just a filmed concert and this one was not.
The lyrics are all about a pop star trying to tell people and let them see that she is just like them (she's an ordinary girl). This is a good message for people to realize, for any celebrity or public figure that people like to put on a high pedestal, that they are normal human beings. They sometimes are lazy, get bored, get scared, feel ignored, feel happy, get silly, choke on their own words, among other things she sings in the song. I also like the lyric, "I make wishes, I have dreams/ And I still want to believe/ Anything can happen in this world/ For an ordinary girl". As I'm an ordinary girl and I like to dream big so I just really feel and can relate to that lyric and to see that even a big pop star like her still has wishes and dreams even if she is currently living out one of her biggest dreams.

Well, that concludes my list of the Top 3 Songs from Every Hannah Montana Album. This was much harder than I thought it was going to be choosing my top 3 favorites from each album. But I was even more surprised that it was much harder picking my top 3 favorites from the Hannah Montana 3 album and the Hannah Montana Forever album. As I didn't realize they had such great songs. Literally all of them were good. Having said that I really love all the songs from every album but these would be my most top favorites. Go listen or stream these if you get the chance. You won't regret it. Also, let me know in the comments what you're favorite songs are from each Hannah Montana album. I would love to know and come Back to Disney next week for more!
