A Ranking of Every Tinker Bell Film Theme Song

Welcome Back to Disney! I hope you enjoyed my post last week where I ranked the Top 10 Disney Channel Theme Songs Of All Time. This week I wanted to list and create A Ranking of Every Tinker Bell Film Theme Song. I actually got this idea a couple of weeks ago from my little sister (celebrategoodtimesblog.blogspot.com). So, thanks Amber. 😉💓 I know I grew up loving Tinker Bell (I mean, who didn't?) as a kid. I mean I even had the Tinker Bell bedspread and lamp when I was younger, which was really cute if I do say so myself. I also loved watching the movies as a kid/teen. Even at twenty-four they are still great films to watch. They are just the definition of feel-good, family-friendly content. So, that is why I thought why not tap into that little inner child of mine and go back and listen/watch all the songs/music videos from all the Tinker Bell films. Basically, if you've never seen any of the Tinker Bell films, Disney Channel came out with six films about every year from 2008-2015. They also had a short, 30-minute TV special that I included in this ranking just because the theme song of that special is iconic and one of the most unforgettable. Each of the six films, and 30-minute TV special, had a theme song for the movie. With most of those theme songs having their own music video to go along with it. But the best thing about these songs/music videos is/was that some of our favorite Disney Channel stars, that played on some of our favorite Disney Channel shows, sung and performed these theme songs for the films. Not all of these Tinker Bell film theme songs that I am about to mention had music videos to go along with them, but the ones that did always made me love the movies they went with even more and made the songs themselves much more memorable and special. So, what are we waiting for, let's get into A Ranking of Every Tinker Bell Film Theme Song

(from least to most favorite)...

#7 "1,000 Years" performed by KT Tunstall Bleu from Tinker Bell and the Legend of the NeverBeast (2015)

I had to put this song last on this list, one reason being because I am not the most familiar with it. I had actually never even heard it at all before making this list. As this comes from one of the Tinker Bell movies that I have never seen. However, don't get me wrong, I do think that this song is still a good song. Just not my most favorite after listening to all of the others. It is also very different from all the other film theme songs when it comes to the beat and melody. Definitely not something you would expect from a Tinker Bell movie song. Another reason it had to go lowest on this list is because it is the most sad and kind of depressing song when compared to all the others. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing, but I just prefer the Tinker Bell songs that make me feel more happy and not sad. This song is played during the ending credits of the film. This song is basically saying that you know your loved ones will leave you one day or the other way around. So, it's all about doing your best to have the most memorable and happy days with them until that time does come. It also goes deeper and talks about how when that day does come of letting someone you love go and that you're willing to let them go because you love them so much, but knowing that that love will live on and that they will still live on for a thousand years. Wow, I'm even sad just while typing that. That's just what I got from the song while listening to it. I've heard that this song goes along really well with the overall theme of the movie, which if that's the case then this must be the most saddest Tinker Bell movie ever and I'm not sure if I will watch it for that reason. I also put this song lowest on this list just because it also didn't have a music video that went along with it like most of the others on this list and it's not a song that I would want to play every day.

#6 "Who I Am" performed by Natasha Bedingfield from Tinker Bell and the Pirate Fairy (2014)

This is another song that I was not familiar with at all before creating this list. As this is the only other Tinker Bell movie that I have never seen or watched. So, that is one reason why I had to put this song lower on this list. However, having gone back to listen to it, I do love the song. I think it has a great message and it makes you feel much happier than the previous song that I mentioned. This song, from this particular Tinker Bell film, also did not have a music video that went along with it which is another reason why I had to put it lower on this list. As I know this song plays at the beginning of the movie, but I would have loved to see a whole music video with Natasha Bedingfield singing this song from the movie, like a lot of the others I am about to mention. Cause I'm sure it would have been great and made this song that much more amazing. Though, I still appreciate the song itself just because it's so full of meaning. It's all about, as the title suggest, being yourself and not being afraid to be who you are because being you is beautiful as well as the message of never giving up on what you're meant to be or do in life. By just trying you are one step closer. The song also talks about bravery and being strong. So, it's a very beautiful song and as you can tell it has several great, positive, and sweet messages for kids and even adults.

#5 "Dig Down Deeper" performed by Zendaya from Tinker Bell and the Pixie Hollow Games (2011)

Okay, so I might have just put this song higher than the previous song that I mentioned just because of nostalgic reasons. But I do love this song more than the others because it did have a music video to go along with it that included someone from one of my favorite Disney Channel shows growing up, and that is Zendaya from Shake It Up. Technically, this song was not part of a Tinker Bell film, as it was just included in the 30-minute TV special. But since it's still Tinker Bell related I just had to add it in this list. I mean I couldn't imagine this list without it. I don't even remember if I ever even watched the Pixie Hollow Games, I probably did just to hear this song, but I for sure remember seeing the preview commercials for this song and music video with Zendaya and being so excited to watch it when it finally premiered. Although, I will say that watching it back now at the age of 24, it's not as hype as I used to think it was when I was 14. However, don't get me wrong, this is still a great song to sing and dance along to and the music video is still fun and enjoyable to watch. Now I just really like and appreciate this song for the great, positive message that can be really inspiring for young girls or whoever listens to this song. This song talks about how to get things done right. The importance in taking chances as well as digging down deep and finding the strength to keep moving forward. In other words, anything can happen if you just dig down deeper. I really love the drum parts in the song and video as well as all the dancing which makes it unique and different from a lot of the other Tinker Bell music videos that I have or will mention. This music video just makes me think of a school pep rally, as it does take place at a school, which is fun and again different from the other music videos I will mention later. I also love that they still included small clips from the Pixie Hollow Games itself and it wasn't just focused on Zendaya throughout the whole video, either. As it did show some other girls as well, such as the girl that is competing and trying to win a track meet. So, it kind of also does some storytelling in that way which is cool and different from a lot of the others. This is just a very encouraging and great pick-me-up song for anyone that might be having a bad day and a song that can stand alone on its own.Though, it can also be a little too repetitive (in a bad way), which is the only other reason I had to put it lower on this list.

#4 How To Believe" performed by Bridgit Mendler from Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue (2010)

This is another great song with a wonderful message from a Tinker Bell film. This is a song and video that I was actually a little more familiar with when going back to listen and watch it. I will admit though, at first I totally forgot that this song and video even existed but then when I found it I was like "Oh my gosh, I do remember this". I've always thought that this Tinker Bell movie in particular was very cute and sweet and this song is just that, as well. Every time I turn this song on I just like move my head side to side because it is just such a soft but fun beat. It just gives me happy spring/summer vibes. I chose to put this song above the previous song that I just mentioned because even though it's much slower than the other one it makes me feel good and I just love the message a little more. It's also not as repetitive (in a bad way) like the previous one that I mentioned. This song also can make me feel emotional but in a good way and it's also another great stand alone song. In other words, even without seeing the music video or visuals, the song is still just as great on its own. This song is cheerful while also being able to make you want to cry (happy tears of course). This song just has something special and has a magical feeling in and of itself which makes for a great Tinker Bell film theme song, and that is exactly what it is. When you turn on this song it is like a breath of fresh air, much like the movies themselves are when you watch them. This song just greatly captures the overall theme of the movie about the friendship that's made between Tinker Bell and Lizzy and the importance of that kind of friendship. That friendship being someone that stays by your side no matter what, and being able to show each other greater things. That's a special friendship and having such a friendship to believe in is amazing. As for the music video itself, I love that again there were clips from the actual movie sprinkled in there, as well as Bidgit Mendler on a bench outside around some greenery drawing, which also connects to actual scenes in the movie. It also shows other kids throughout the video as Bridgit Mendler is helping them and showing them things for an audition. In other words, we see her being a friend to these kids, like Tinker Bell was to Lizzy. Showing up and being there for them. Giving those kids a friendship they can believe in.

#3 "Gift Of A Friend" performed by Demi Lovato from Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure (2009)

This is another great Tinker Bell film theme song and another one that I totally forgot about until I went back to find it in order to create this list. But once I saw it, I instantly remembered it and all the fond memories of old Disney Channel. However, you would think that I would have remembered this song/music video a little more just because my little sister did have the DVD of this movie when we were younger. So, I don't know how I forgot about this song. Anyways, this is another song about the importance of friendship and what a gift it is (hence the name of the song). But it goes higher on this list than the previous song that I mentioned because I do love this song and music video much better. First of all, I love that it's easier to decipher what the lyrics of this song actually mean. In other words, you don't have to guess what the meaning of the song is, unlike the previous song that I mentioned. As I feel like the previous song that I mentioned was much harder to understand exactly what she was singing about. Something that also makes this song even better and more different from all the others is that not only did Demi Lovato sing and perform this song in the music video but she also wrote it. I love that we got a music video with this song. I love the simplicity of the music video. As she (Demi Lovato) is just walking through woods, by a pond, and in front of flowers. It's really gives a sense of peace and it's very fairy-esque, which I love. This song also makes me feel pretty emotional and nostalgic. It's a really meaningful song. Again, as it talks about the value of friendship. It also fits the theme of the movie really well, as the movie itself is also all about friendship. In the song it talks about how sometimes you might think that you're fine being alone and not having a friend. As it's easy to feel like you don't need help or don't need anyone by your side, but in reality it's harder to walk this life alone and when you actually open your heart and believe in the gift of a friend the world comes to life. From beginning to end, everything becomes much brighter. I think this is a great message and can be a good reminder sometimes to people like me who are maybe more closed off and find it hard to trust people due to past situations, or are just shy and it's hard for them to make friends. But I do believe it's a wonderful thing to be able to have close friends like that or even just one really great friend (because quality over quantity). As the song also goes on to say a friend is someone who knows everything about you and is there through your highs and lows and beside you wherever you go. Sometimes a friend like that can be hard to find and that is okay, too. I also believe siblings and family members can be your friends, too. They are the best kind of friends. I just think the overall message of this song is seeing the beauty in what a true friendship is and not being closed off to the gift of what a friend(s) could be for you if you don't have a friend(s) because friendship is a special thing. Okay, that was a long rant. Basically, this song and its music video is just beautiful and this is like THE friendship song of ALL friendship songs.

#2 "Great Divide" performed by McClain Sisters from Tinker Bell and the Secret of the Wings (2012)

This is another great Tinker Bell film theme song that makes me feel all the feels, as it brings back so many fond memories. This song/music video and the next one that I am going to mention have always been the most memorable ones to me out of all the ones I've already ranked on this list. Although it was hard for me to decide whether or not to put this song before or after the previous song I mentioned, just because they are both really great. But, ultimately the theme of this movie and the song, as well as the music video, is all about sisterhood and therefore when comparing the meaning of this song and the previous one, I know sisterhood always comes before friendship in my book. So, that is why I had to put it higher than the previous song I mentioned. I am also just a sucker for the music video of this song itself. I love the seasonal settings and special effects. This song and music video go along great with the actual scenes from the movie itself. They really matched the music video with the movie very well. As just the split screen alone ties into the movie very well. As in the movie the two fairy sisters go into different worlds and in the music video the McClain Sisters go into different seasons which is fun to watch. I love seeing those parallels. I also have two sisters myself, so I love that aspect of the song and video, as well. Every time I watch this I just get all those 2010s Disney nostalgic feels. This song is about basically what the movie is about which is how these two sisters don't know that they are sisters and then they come together in this amazing way and well you have to watch the movie to find out the rest. But Tinker Bell and Periwinkle automatically love each other just because they are sisters and that's a great message and lesson and very much relatable to me and I'm sure a lot of you reading this who might have a sibling(s) yourselves. I just get really happy every time I see this music video and hear this song. It just makes you smile and also gets you in the holiday spirit because I always think of Christmastime whenever I watch this music video for some reason.

#1 "Fly To Your Heart" performed by Selena Gomez from Tinker Bell (2008)

This is the FIRST and of course the BEST Tinker Bell film theme song and the one that I remember the most from my childhood. It's definitely a song/music video that always comes to my mind first when I think of or watch the Tinker Bell movies. I love the song itself the most because not only does it make me feel all the feels but it's just a very sweet song and it makes me feel like a kid again every time I listen to it. I don't know, but the lyrics just have all of that childlike wonder, magic, and imagination bursting through them. The message of this song is also really great and positive, as well. As it's all about going for what your heart desires and rising to the heights of all that you can be and as the song says, "Soar on the hope of marvelous things". Just an overall very encouraging message. Like the song itself, the music video just makes you feel even more happy as it's the most whimsical, girly, heavenly, fairy-esque setting of all Tinker Bell music video settings. I love the simplicity of it. As Selena Gomez just pretty much stays in one scenic area with all these beautiful flowers, a big tree, a bench to sit (and stand on), and just a lot of other pretty greenery around her. I love all of the bright and fun colors, which those alone just wake you up and make you smile. I also love the added fairy light sparkle effects (which were also in some of the other music videos but it works really well in this one) and I love that they actually had her flying like little Tink does in the movies, which just adds to that magical feeling you get while watching this video. We also still get to see little clips from the actual movie throughout the video as well, which also fits really well and doesn't distract from the whole vibe of the video. This song and music video is just the most nostalgic to me. It never gets old. Watching and listening to this just always makes me want my childhood back. It's just the most beautiful Tinker Bell film theme songs and will forever be my most favorite.
