Welcome Back to Disney! I hope you enjoyed my last post where I created A Ranking of Every First Episode From a Disney Channel (Animated) Show Part 1. Like I mentioned in that post, there are three parts to this whole thing, and today we are continuing that post with Part Two. The episodes I mentioned in that last post (Part One) were all just from Disney Channel's animated shows, which are good, but these episodes that I will be mentioning here are even better because they all come from Disney Channel's live-action shows. Which, as you know by now, are my favorite of the two types of shows and why I was so excited to finally get to do this post. Again, I have been planning on creating this post for so long now and I'm glad that I finally got the chance to re-watch (and for some, watch for the very first time) all of these first EVER episodes and bring you this ranking to enjoy. All of these episodes are truly THE episodes that started it all for some of our favorite Disney Channel shows. Literally, the first episodes are what make or break a series. So, what are we waiting for, let's get into A Ranking of Every First Episode From a Disney Channel Show Part 2 and find out if they made me wanting more.
Just a brief note before I begin: For this ranking I included every first episode only from every Disney Channel show I could find and watch on Disney Plus. Episodes I have seen and ones that I had never seen before doing this post. Unfortunately, I was not able to include a few other shows that I grew up loving or knew about in some way from Disney Channel such as, Cory in the House, Life With Derek, and Naturally Sadie. Again, none of those shows I just mentioned are available (as of now) to watch on Disney Plus, so I could not include them on this ranking. :( But don't worry, there are still so many great shows/episodes to look forward to on this ranking and the next. Also, I just want to give a shout out to a few other Disney Channel shows that are available to watch on Disney Plus but were not fair to rank among all the other shows/episodes on this list and those shows are: Boy Meets World, Smart Guy, and Out of the Box. You will also see some Disney XD episodes on this list which are fitting for this ranking because to me they are all considered Disney, and at times Disney Channel would play Disney XD shows on their main channel, even though Disney XD was technically its own thing. So, these Disney XD episodes do count as Disney Channel (at least in my opinion) and that is why they are on this list. Now, for real this time, let's get into A Ranking of Every First Episode From a Disney Channel Show Part 2!!:)
(from least to most favorite)...
#32 Crash & Bernstein S1E1 "Crash Lands" Premiered October 8, 2012
This is an episode, and show in general, that I had never seen before doing this. I knew from just seeing the poster of this show on Disney Plus that I wasn't going to like this episode, simply just because it involves a puppet, and I don't like shows with puppet things like this one. I never could even watch Sesame Street as a kid, except Elmo was sometimes an exception. Again, shows like this one just always weird me out. I don't get the whole puppet thing. However, when I would sometimes (rarely) watch Disney XD as a kid, I do remember seeing commercials of this show but I was always too creeped out to watch it. The commercials always just seemed weird and creepy and that is exactly what this episode was to me when watching it for this post. This episode is really weird, kind of creepy, and overall just boring to watch. Well, at least when compared to all the other episodes on this list, this episode was the most weird, creepy, and boring. It was kind of funny at times, but this is just not an episode or show that I would choose to watch again. If you've never seen this episode, basically it's all about a little boy (Wyatt Bernstein) who builds a boy puppet and names him Crash at the Build-A-Bestie Store for his birthday. He (Wyatt) does this because he lives with his mom and three sisters, therefore he creates this boy puppet. Crash (the puppet) ends up coming alive being the brother that Wyatt has always wanted. However, it's all fun and games until Crash re-models, or more like destroys, Wyatt's room in an effort to help Wyatt have his own room away from his sister Cleo, which causes Wyatt to get upset and Crash deciding to leave. If you like shows with puppet characters then you will love this episode, but for me personally it's not my favorite, especially when compared to all the other episodes on this list.
#31 So Random! S1E1 "Musical Guest: Cody Simpson" Premiered June 5, 2011
If I could just rank this episode based off the musical performance alone, then this episode would be higher on this list for sure. But, because I can't just rank this episode based on that one thing, unfortunately this episode had to go lower on this list. As I've mentioned before on this blog, I only ever watched this show's episodes for the musical performances, so I don't remember ever seeing this whole episode before doing this. However, I of course remember Cody Simpson's performance from this episode. I mean, how could I not? It was the first ever musical performance from the show and a great one at that and this is coming from someone who was never a big Cody Simpson fan. Nothing against him personally or anything, just music wise, I never listened to his music when I was younger or even now. However, this song that he performs in this episode I of course knew, and I also loved (well, I was more like obsessed with) this one song of his that I remember hearing on Radio Disney for the first time when I was in middle school called "iYiYi". Oh, don't even get me started on that song (iYiYi), it's a BANGER. But, those are the only two songs by Cody Simpson that I've always known. Anyways, back to this episode. Basically, this is the first episode of the spin-off from Sonny With A Chance. It is a show within a show. As it has numerous and some hilarious skits and sketches as well as crazy games, peculiar parody characters, and great music (enter Cody Simpson). This episode was only slightly funny, really my only favorite skit being "The Tantrum Girl on Ponies" skit. Again, this is just one of my most least favorite episodes out of all the ones on this list just because, like I've mentioned before on this blog, skit shows like this one are not my favorite things to watch and I was not looking forward to watching this episode for that reason. If you like skit shows then you would like this episode, but I would only ever choose to watch this episode again just for the musical performance at the end.
#30 Lab Rats S1E1 "Crush, Chop & Burn: Part 1" Premiered February 27, 2012
I only chose to rank this episode higher than the previous one I mentioned just because it's not a sketch show. I've talked about this show a couple times before on this blog and how I was never a big watcher (I know that's not good grammar, but I'm going with it) of this show. So, I had no recollection of ever seeing this episode before doing this. This first episode is interesting because it is a two-part episode and in this part of the episode (part one) Leo along with his mom (Tasha) move into his step-dad's (Donald Davenport's) house where Leo discovers Adam, Bree, and Chase for the first time; three bionic, super-human teens living in a secret underground lab in his (Leo) new high-tech home. They each have their own set of bionic abilities. Adam has super strength, Bree has all the speed and agility, and Chase has super senses and a superior intelligence. When Leo takes the three bionic siblings to school for the first time, their lack of experience with the outside world causes chaos. To which prompts Mr. Davenport to ban them from ever leaving the lab again. However, Leo throws a party for Adam, Bree, and Chase in Mr. Davenport's house (his new home) in appreciation to them for making him more popular by using their bionics. Only they all get caught during the party when Mr. Davenport and Leo's mom walks in. The episode ends with a "to be continued" and the bionics realizing that there is more to life than just being military weapons. Though, this episode didn't really get me hooked to want to watch Part Two. This episode is pretty funny at times, but overall just more boring to me than all the others I will be mentioning later. I'm also just not really into sci-fi, superhero type shows like this one, so that is also why I couldn't really get into this episode as much. But, if you like that kind of stuff, then you will like this episode. Again, it was just harder for me to get into this episode and I never could get into this show in general as much as I could the others on this list.
#29 K.C. Undercover S1E1 "Pilot" Premiered January 18, 2015
This is actually an episode that I was familiar with before ever doing this ranking because it was the only episode that I ever watched of this show when it was originally airing on Disney Channel. I remember wanting to watch the first episode of this show at the time it premiered because I was curious to see what it was all about and also just because of the fact that Zendaya, who played in one of my all time favorite (and in my opinion one of the all time BEST) Disney Channel shows Shake It Up, was going to be playing the main character in this show. However, having said that, I hadn't seen this episode since it first premiered in 2015. So, I did not remember exactly everything that happens in this episode before re-watching it again for this ranking. But basically this episode is all about K.C., first of all finding out that her parents are spies and that she is one as well, and then taking on her first undercover assignment where she must find a teen spy and track down the code for a dangerous virus that could render all mobile devices useless. To make matters worse, she must do this on the same night of her school dance. I love a good spy movie/show (I mean, hello...Get A Clue...Totally Spies anyone?) and therefore I think this episode (and show in general) being about spies is fun and unique from a lot of these other episodes/shows on this list, but I couldn't really get into this episode, hence why I also never watched the show. This episode was just kind of boring to me. There are some funny parts in this episode, but still, this episode just isn't one of my favorites when compared to all the others I will be mentioning later on this list.
#28 Lab Rats: Elite Force S1E1 "The Rise of Five" Premiered March 2, 2016
This is another episode that I was pretty familiar with before doing this post, as this is also the only episode that I remember ever watching of this show when it was originally airing on Disney XD. I remember wanting to check out this episode when it first came out because it involved characters from Mighty Med, which was another Disney XD show that I used to watch quite a lot as a kid. I was interested to see the two worlds (the two shows) mix. But, having said that, I did forget everything about this episode before doing this because I hadn't seen it since it first premiered. Though in this episode, Mr. Davenport introduces Bree and Chase (Adam is not in this episode or the series) to their new headquarters in Centium City at a high-tech, high-rise penthouse as well as to their new team members Skylar, Kaz, and Oliver. While the heroes are trying to learn how to work together as a team, Kaz ends up setting off to find the villains on his own when he disagrees with Chase's leadership style. He (Kaz) ends up coming face to face with Riker and Roman, two shapeshifters with the intent on annihilating all superheroes, along the way. Therefore, the team must set aside their differences in order to become the united force they were intended to be to defeat the two villains before it's too late. This episode has a lot more action in it than the previous Lab Rats episode I mentioned, which is pretty interesting to watch. It's a pretty funny episode, as well. Just still a bit more boring to me than all the others I will be mentioning later on this list. Again, I'm just not that big on superhero stuff like this. This episode does also leave on a cliffhanger though which does kind of leave you wanting more. In other words, this episode did kind of make me want to watch the next episode to see what happens. The characters also learn a pretty important and valuable lesson in this episode about working together instead of against each other, which is something good that I took away from this episode and that I'm sure a lot of other viewers can take away from this episode, as well.
#27 Zeke & Luther S1E1 "Bros Go Pro" Premiered June 15, 2009
This is another episode that I never saw before doing this, but this show in general is one that I remember seeing a lot of commercials about on Disney XD when I was a kid. However, those commercials were never interesting enough to me to want to watch the show. But, after watching this particular episode for this ranking, I am more interested now in this show than I originally ever was and ever thought I would be. I had no idea what to expect before watching this episode and it does kind of surprise me that I enjoyed watching it more than all the previous episodes I already mentioned. This episode took place a lot of the time outdoors, which made it feel more real in a way instead of just being a typical scripted TV show. Though, in fact, this is a still a scripted show but it just didn't feel as scripted if you know what I mean. It is unique and different though too, because the characters at certain points in the episode speak directly to the camera or to the viewers watching. This episode was kind of fun to watch too because there are a few familiar faces from other Disney shows and movies in this episode, such as one of the main characters himself Luther being the guy who also played Wen on Lemonade Mouth, the boy who played Fletcher on A.N.T Farm also guest stars on this episode, and Zeke's sister (another main character of this episode/show) played young Miley on Hannah Montana. Again, it was cool to see some other familiar faces from some Disney Channel classics that I grew up watching. Basically, if you've never seen this episode, it's about two best friends (Zeke and Luther) getting their first professional job skating off a ramp and jumping over four king-size mattresses as part of a promotional grand-opening stunt, all thanks to Zeke's 10-year old sister Ginger. The boys overindulge while staying in their first hotel which causes them to nearly miss the big event. If you love skateboarding and seeing people get into a bunch of shenanigans then you will love this episode, but I just like this episode a little more than the previous ones I mentioned because it's a little more funny, especially the part when Zeke gets his toe stuck in the facet.
#26 Mighty Med S1E1 "Saving the People Who Save People Part 1" Premiered October 7, 2013
This is an episode that I was familiar with even before creating this post, as I remember watching this episode when it first premiered on Disney XD and watching it again a few times after that. So, because it's more nostalgic to me is one of the main reasons why I decided to rank this episode higher than the previous episode(s) I mentioned. However, it had been so long since I had watched this episode before re-watching it for this ranking, that I kind of went into watching it again with new eyes (which I kind of basically did with a lot of these episodes). This episode is all about two teenagers, Kaz and Oliver, as they discover a hidden entrance into a secret hospital for superheroes, sci-fi, and fantasy characters; which of course they are huge fans of. This is the only superhero type show/episode from Disney that I actually can get into and enjoy watching for some reason. I still got bored of it a little, but I still think it's a better episode than all the other episodes I mentioned previously and would most definitely choose to watch it again over those. I also just think the concept of this show is cute and unique than a lot of other shows I've ever seen before. This episode is also pretty funny at times and it does leave off with a "to be continued" which does make me want to watch more even though I kind of already know what happens in the end. Overall, this is a good episode, just not one of my most favorites when compared to all the others I will be mentioning later. But, definitely a must-watch if you've never seen this show and you like superheroes and comic books.
#25 So Weird S1E1 "Family Reunion" Premiered January 18, 1999
This is a very, and I mean VERY, different type of show compared to all the shows on this ranking. First of all, it's from 90's Disney Channel, so you get all those 90's Disney Channel vibes while watching this episode, which I absolutely love. But this show is also very different because it's the most dark, mellow, dramatic, and mysterious episodes from all the episodes on this ranking and I mean ALL the episodes on this ranking (not just the episodes I talked about before this one). I had never, and I mean NEVER... (lol, okay I'll stop with the overexaggerated repeat thing). But for real, I had never seen this episode or show in general before creating this post. So, I really had no idea what to expect when going into watching this episode for this ranking. But I could tell just from the title of the show alone that this episode was going to be WEIRD. When I actually started playing this episode, and even after just seeing the theme song at the beginning alone, it was very different and unique from all the other episodes and shows in general that I've seen on Disney Channel before. As the theme song to this show is one of the creepiest, if not, THE creepiest theme song that I've ever seen from a Disney Channel show. But, let me get into what this episode is actually about because even the concept and storyline alone is just as creepy and weird. Basically, this episode is all about a supernatural seeker fourteen-year-old girl (Fiona "Fi" Phillips) who, while in Chicago with her Mother's band, encounters the ghost of a young boy who was a victim of a boating disaster in 1915 and so she tries to help him reunite with this dead parents. This is a mystery-type episode, as I'm sure the whole series is, so this episode does make me you want to watch more. Even though this episode was a little creepy and weird, I actually kind of want to watch more of this show just to see what other mysteries or mysterious things the character comes across, but I also kind of don't ever want to watch another episode of this show. So, I'm kind of indecisive about this episode/show. I most definitely wouldn't repeat an episode from this show like this one, because I'm more like, "Okay, one and done" and also because I didn't really like some of the things in this episode. Specifically, I don't like or agree with what Fiona's brother says to her in this episode when he says, "People die and that's it. When you die your history, you never come back. You're gone forever". So, that part made me really dislike this episode, because I believe in God and I believe that there is life after death and that we live eternally with God and Jesus in heaven. So, that's all I have to say about that comment made by Fi's brother. Overall, I chose to rank this episode lower on this list because it's a lot more dark and depressing. I also do not believe in paranormal activity or ghosts and things like that, which is what this episode is all about. This episode also just gave me creepy, Halloween vibes, which is not a vibe that I want all year long. So, those are some reasons why this episode is not one of my favorites, but I would still say this episode is better to watch over all the previous ones I mentioned just because I love the 90's feel and I do like a good mystery, especially over all the superhero stuff. However, would I choose to watch this episode again? More than likely, no. But, I might still try to watch a few of the episodes that came after this one to see if it gets any better and a little less creepy.
#24 Liv & Maddie S1E1 "Twin-A-Rooney' Premiered July 19, 2013
This is another episode that I had never seen before doing this. However, I was kind of familiar with it because I do remember seeing a lot of commercials about this episode on Disney Channel before it was set to premiere, but again I never watched this show growing up let alone this particular episode. Some of the scenes in this episode did look very familiar to me for some reason though, but I think that's just because I remember seeing my little sister (celebrategoodtimesblog.blogspot.com) watching this episode and show a lot when we were younger. But, anyways, I mainly chose to rank this episode higher than the previous one just because it's more bright and happy, not as sad and depressing as the last episode I mentioned. I also love that there is some music and singing in this episode, which is always a plus and I also like the twin sister aspect of this episode and of the show in general. I mean any show or movie involving twins is always fun and interesting to watch (shout out to all the Mary-Kate and Ashley movies/shows I watched growing up). Basically if you've never seen this episode, after Liv returns home from starring in a hit TV series, Maddie is sure that Liv has come back to ruin her life. When Maddie confides in Liv about a boy she likes (Diggie), Maddie is then horrified when Liv asks him out pretending to be her (Maddie). Again, this is just a very lighthearted and more feel-good episode than the last one I mentioned and it is one that I would watch again. Just when compared to all the other episodes I will be mentioning later, this episode is still not the best when compared to those.
#23 Phil of the Future S1E1 "Meet the Curtis" Premiered June 18, 2004
I decided to rank this episode before the previous one just because of the fact that it gives me all the early 2000s vibes and it just brings me back to that era of Disney, which I love. Though, this episode is one that I had no recollection of ever seeing before doing this. I do remember watching this show as a kid, but again, I just did not remember anything about this episode at all before watching it back for this ranking. But to be honest, I actually don't remember a lot of this show's episodes, so I was kind of excited to start from the very beginning of this series and see how I like it and how good this episode really is. Having said that, and after having watched this episode back now for this, I will say that this episode is very weird. It is that way from the very beginning until the end, but it's a good kind of weird, at least a better weird than So Weird (see what I did there?π). In this episode, the Diffys' discover a caveman named Curtis stuffed away in their time machine. Lloyd gets separated from Phil and Keely when they go to drop Curtis off in a field, all the while Pim tries to endure a sleepover at Debbie's house. Again, this episode is just very nostalgic to me, even though I didn't really remember it at all. It is definitely a weird episode and show in general (at least from all the episodes that I've seen and have talked about on this blog so far) but it makes me think about my childhood and I love that about this episode. It's also just funny because it's weird, which I like any show that can make me laugh or smile.
#22 The Suite Life on Deck S1E1 "The Suite Life Sets Sail" Premiered September 26, 2008
This episode is also very nostalgic to me because I remember exactly when and where I was when this episode for the new spin-off of The Suite Life of Zack & Cody premiered for the first time on Disney Channel. So, I was already very familiar with this episode before doing this. Not only because I grew up watching this show on Disney Channel but also because my sisters and I binge watched this whole show just a couple years ago. So, it hadn't been too long since I had last seen this episode. In this episode, Zack and Cody set sail on the S.S. Tipton to attend Seven Seas High. Mr. Moseby is the cruise ship manager, the twins receive unlikely roommates (Cody's roommate being even messier than his brother (Zack) and Zack's roommate being a girl in disguise (Bailey)), and London (who is also a student on the ship) wants nothing to do with being on the ship. Just like any typical Suite Life episode this episode is full of mischief and mayhem. What's great about this episode is that we get to see a lot of the original characters from The Suite Life of Zack & Cody as well as some new characters who are introduced for the first time in this episode, as well. I actually remember being quite bummed when I watched this episode for the first time for that fact that Maddie and some of the other original characters from the original show weren't going to be on this new show, but then I eventually got used to the new characters and didn't miss the old characters as much. However, I can see why I was a little iffy about this new show at first when seeing this first episode because watching this first episode back now, it's not the greatest. In fact, I feel like this episode doesn't really do the rest of the series justice. In other words, there are better episodes from this show than this one. It does get better than this first episode. This is not the worst first episode of a Disney Channel show, but it's just kind of more boring than the others I will be mentioning later. But, again, this episode is just more nostalgic to me than the previous one(s) I mentioned and it is way more funny.
#21 Kickin' It S1E1 "Wasabi Warriors" Premiered June 13, 2011
I'm actually surprised myself that I ranked this episode higher than a lot of the previous episodes I already mentioned because I usually find this show really boring to watch, but this episode I actually really enjoyed watching. I mainly just ranked this episode higher because it's really funny. I mean seriously, it really made me laugh a lot, which again I was not expecting at all. Basically, this episode is all about the students of the Bobby Wasabi Martial Arts Academy and their fight to save the dojo. Luckily, they meet the new student Jack who's a super skater and martial artist, with a little convincing by Rudy, willing to join the dojo and help them win the tournament to save the place from being shut down. I was already a little familiar with this episode before creating this post because this was one of the only episodes I actually watched of this show when I was a kid and when this episode first premiered on Disney XD. However, I didn't really remember everything about this episode before going back to watch it for this post because it had been such a long time since I had last seen it. Again, I never really watched this show growing up, but this is the one episode that I remember checking out because it had Jason Earles from Hannah Montana (my all time favorite Disney Channel show) and I remember being curious as to what this show was all about and if it was going to be good or not. I don't know how good the show is as a whole but this episode that I watched for this ranking was pretty good. This episode did make me want to watch more of this show just because it was really funny and the action in it was actually pretty good and interesting to watch. It was fun to see all the different karate or martial arts stunts in this episode. This episode also has some good, important and valuable lessons in it such as when Rudy says, "Martial arts isn't about beating kids up in the lunchroom, it's about getting better through hard work and discipline". Another good quote from this episode is when Jack says, "You don't walk away from your friends when they need you". Both of those are great lessons anyone can take away from this episode and somehow apply them to their own life. At least ones that I did. I would actually watch this episode again, just when compared to all the other episodes that I will be mentioning later, this one is still not my most favorite but still a must-watch.
#20 I Didn't Do It S1E1 "Pilot" Premiered January 17, 2014
This is another episode that I did watch when it first premiered on Disney Channel. It's actually one of the few that I've actually seen from this show, because as I've mentioned before on this blog, I wasn't the biggest fan of this show growing up. Not that there was something specific that I didn't like about it, I just always thought this show was boring and not interesting, and therefore I just didn't ever watch it as much as I did a lot of my other favorite Disney Channel shows that you will be seeing later. However, I will say now after having watched this episode and a couple of other episodes from this show for this blog, I do think this show is better than I once thought it was. In other words, after watching all the episodes I've seen of this show so far, I do actually want to go back and watch the whole series from beginning to end because I really have enjoyed watching all the episodes, including this episode that I'm talking about now. This episode involves twins, a brother and sister (Lindy and Logan), which like I said before is always interesting to watch. But another very interesting and unique thing about this episode/show is that every episode, including this one, starts at the end and the characters flash back to the events that happened at the beginning. So, you actually see the end of the episode before you see the beginning of the episode. This specific episode begins with the aftermath of a wild party that Lindy and Logan threw while their parents spent the night out and then the episode continues with them flashing back to what happened from the beginning to explain to their parents why their home is an absolute mess, how a goat got into their living room, why pizza is falling from their ceiling, why a snake is on their couch, and what happened to Mrs. Klasby their 91-year-old babysitter. This is just one of those unforgettable episodes. I really like the interesting concept and plot of this episode and it's also really funny. Definitely an episode I would watch again and one that I recommend you check out too, if you've never seen it before.
#19 Jessie S1E1 "New York, New Nanny" Premiered September 30, 2011
This is another show that I grew up watching, so I was already very familiar with this episode before doing this. I also just have fond memories of watching this episode for the first time when it premiered on Disney Channel. This episode/show also stars Debby Ryan who is from one of my other favorite shows I watched a lot growing up and I show that I mentioned earlier, The Suite Life on Deck. That is probably the main reason why I tuned into this episode and watched this show a lot as a kid because I enjoyed watching the other Disney shows and movies that she played in and I was interested to see her in this show as the lead character. At least that's definitely a reason why I still choose to watch this show sometimes even now. But anyways, this episode itself is all about an 18-year-old girl from Texas named Jessie who arrives in New York to follow her dream of becoming an actress. Though, she has to work in the meantime, and so she incidentally finds a job as a nanny for the kids of movie director Morgan and entrepreneur Christina. This episode introduces all the characters good, it's pretty funny at times, pretty relatable (I mean who hasn't had a dream of moving to New York and doing big things like Jessie in this episode? I know I have.), but overall just more nostalgic to me which is why I love it. I really like this episode, and this show in general, because it's unique and different than a lot of other Disney Channel shows in that it introduces the topic of adoption and the characters are very culturally diverse. I also like how this episode teaches an important lesson about family and love. As when it's the day of Emma's science fair and her parents at first don't show up, Jessie says to her, "I know your parents can't be here physically but that doesn't mean that they're not with you. They are, believe me. It's like planets (as she points to Emma's science project), they're far away from each other right? But they have a gravitational pull that always keeps them together no matter what. That's what love is like. It stretches over any distance. It's too strong to be broken". So, viewers get an important life lesson and a science lesson from this episode. Even Emma's parents learn in the end of this episode that being there for their kids is more important than any other job they could have, which is so true. FAMILY > Everything. π
#18 Jonas S1E1 "Wrong Song" Premiered May 2, 2009
This is an episode that I had only watched once before doing this post and that was when I watched it earlier this year with my little sister (celebrategoodtimesblog.blogspot.com). So, this episode was still pretty new to me, 'cause as I've mentioned before on this blog I never watched this show growing up when it was originally airing on Disney Channel or after. Having said that, I do like this episode more than all the previous episodes I've mentioned already just because it has music and singing in it. If it didn't have these things, than this episode probably would have ranked even lower on this list, if I'm being honest. Basically, if you've never seen this episode before, it's about Nick writing a song for a girl that he likes and his brothers (Joe and Kevin) trying to convince him that he's moving too fast. Meanwhile, in the secondary storyline, Stella is trying to design some indestructible outfits after the boys' fans leave them stripped from their onstage costumes. Like most of this show's episodes that I've watched so far for this blog, this episode is just pretty funny and random. However, this episode is kind of more slow and boring. Though, it is also more calming and relaxing to watch, as well. So, it all works for this show/episode. This episode also gives me all those 2009 vibes, which I love and what makes this episode feel so nostalgic to me, even though I've only seen it a couple times. There's also a familiar face in this episode, as Bridgit Mendler from Good Luck Charlie and Lemonade Mouth, plays Nick's love interest in this episode. I don't know, but I was in a Jonas phase last year when I actually enjoyed watching this show, but for some reason this episode didn't really hit for me this time. Maybe I just have to be in a certain mood to watch this show, but again, this wasn't the best episode I've seen of this show. Though, don't get me wrong, this episode is still better than all the previous ones I've mentioned and I would for sure watch it again just for a good laugh and some nostalgic vibes.
#17 Pair of Kings S1E1 "Return of the Kings Part 1" Premiered September 10, 2010
As you already know, this has always been my favorite Disney XD show. Therefore, this episode in particular is my most favorite from a Disney XD show, not only because it's super nostalgic to me but also because it's really funny and I love an episode/show that can make me laugh out loud (literally). I, of course, was already very familiar with this episode before even doing this because, as I mentioned before, I watched this show a lot growing up and I had also just recently re-watched this episode earlier this year with my older sister Ariel (shout out to you Arielπ). In this episode, we are introduced to two ordinary twin teen brothers (Brady and Boomer), or so they think they are just "ordinary", until they soon learn that their parents were king and queen of a small, mystical island named KinKow and that they are next in line to rule. However, during their coronation as kings on the island, Brady and Boomer accidentally destroy a sacred ruby which causes Mount Spew to erupt. Therefore, they must get the sister ruby in order to save the kingdom from being destroyed. This episode is a two-part episode, so it does end with a bit of a cliffhanger and viewers of course wanting to see more. I have already seen Part Two of this episode, because I've already seen the whole show, so I already know what ends up happening. But this episode, and show in general, is so funny that I will always want to keep watching for more. Again, this episode is just super nostalgic to me and it's very funny from the beginning to the end. I just can't stop saying how funny this show is. You won't ever be disappointed watching an episode from this show, especially it's first one.
Well, that concludes A Ranking of Every First Episode From a Disney Channel Show Part 2. These episodes were all fun and interesting to watch and pretty hard to rank. I got to watch some old classics and some new episodes that I had never even seen before; some I didn't enjoy as much and some that actually got me hooked to want to watch more. But again, these are just some of the first ever episodes that I watched from Disney Channel's live-action shows, which means that there are still a lot more even better ones that I have yet to talk about. So, comment down below your favorite episode(s) that I mentioned here and come Back to Disney soon for the third and final part of this post where you will see my MOST favorites from all these live-action episodes ranked from least to most BEST, THE BEST. Trust me you don't want to miss out on my #1 pick for the best first episode from a Disney Channel show. See you back here soon!:)π
