TOP 3 BEST EPISODES FROM EVERY SEASON OF WHO'S THE BOSS

Welcome Back to the 80’s!๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿ˜Š๐ŸŽ‰AHHHH!!!…I’m SO EXCITED to finally bring you this post, and to start this new little series of blog posts I’ll be doing for this NEW SECTION of my blog titled (as previously stated), BACK TO THE 80’S (with a Gen Z-er)! Now, if you’re reading this, and have been following this blog since I created it a few years ago, then you’re more than likely a Gen Z-er or maybe even a younger millennial. Which means, we weren’t born in the 80’s, and therefore, we never got to experience what many people (those mostly born in the 80s, or who were kids and teens living in the 80’s) still believe to be one of, if not, THE BEST decade. Unless, I count that one time in elementary school when we had an 80’s themed dance and had to dress up in all the 80’s fashion and dance to some of the most popular songs from the 80’s, then that would be the only living-in-the-80’s experience I have had. Until doing this. Which has made me feel like I am back in the 80’s a little bit. But still obviously not.๐Ÿ˜Š

Speaking of myself for a minute, I was born in the late 90’s (hence, the Gen Z part of the title), and was therefore raised in the 2000s/early-2010s. And I had what I feel is the BEST, MOST MAGICAL childhood/teen-hood a girl could ask for.๐Ÿค But for a long time now, I’ve been a huge fan of older things, older eras. And I’m mostly referring to the media/entertainment and fashion from said eras.  Although, even just the atmosphere and way of life seemed more simple back in the 80s/90s in many different ways, and therefore sometimes I wish I could be living during those times now. But that’s a whole other rant I could go on. Anyway, basically, while trying to live and enjoy the here and now, I also LOVE and APPRECIATE certain things from the past, as well. In other words, I LOVE a mix of both the NEW AND the OLD. Again, especially when it comes o TV shows, movies, and music, because they're just not making things as great as they used to.๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ’—

Like the 90’s, for example. Again, I was only a baby in the late 90’s, so I never really got to experience it or know it that well. But throughout my childhood/teen-hood there was always something 90’s-related still present in my life. Whether it was in the things I still played with from that era as a kid, the clothes I wore that were influenced or taken from that era, or the shows I watched on TV, or even the music I was exposed to and listened to as a child into my teen years and then into my adult years. I actually didn’t go back and discover more of 90’s nostalgia until I was in my late teens/early 20s, which is when I found even more of a love and appreciation for it all on my own. I’ve even said many times before on this blog, that I LOVE the 90’s. From the ICONIC fashion, to the ICONIC and UNFORGETTABLE TV shows, movies, and music. Some of that 90's media that I’ve actually already posted about on this blog, and more that I will be discussing eventually.๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜Š

Like I said, since I was a kid I loved watching certain shows from the 90’s, and I listened to many songs from 90’s artists. I’ve always grown up with 90’s era stuff even when it wasn't the decade I was living in. But it wasn’t until I was in my late teens when I really got into LOVING the 90’s A LOT, and I just wanted everything to go back to being THE 90’s, and FINALLY now some of it is back. But now that everyone’s loving going back to the 90’s, while I still LOVE mostly everything 90’s, I’m now in my 80’s era. At least when it comes to the great music, movies, and TV shows from that decade. Which is one of the main reasons why I wanted to create this section on my blog. A section solely dedicated to the 80’s. Specifically, to the GREATEST TV shows, movies, and music of the 80’s. I’ve been planning on creating this series of posts for a while now. It’s been in my head for a couple of years, and last year I finally started to put things together for it, and now at the start of this year I was finally able to get to watching all of the 80’s shows I wanted to, and this summer I even listened to some of the 80’s music I want to post about sooner than later, and I recently even started watching some 80’s movies. And I just can’t wait to share it ALL with you guys, and my thoughts and opinions about it all with you, as well.๐Ÿ˜Š

I’ve always heard, and still hear from some people online, how the 80’s was like the GREATEST decade ever. Especially, because it was “the calm before the technology tornado” (as said by some person online), and I’ve just never thought of the 80’s that way. Mostly, just because I didn’t know much about it because I wasn’t born into it. I also just always wasn’t that interested in it, because I just always thought it was way too old. Like the 50's or something.๐ŸคฃAnd some old things can creep me out. But after watching and listening to the 80’s things that I have now for this series of posts, I’ve realized none of that is true. I mean, in terms of years, it is technically still old. These shows, movies and music that I’ll be mentioning are older things, but that’s not a bad thing. And the shows and movies that I once thought would be “creepy” to watch actually aren’t at all.

Like I also said before, I was just more all about the 90’s before this year. But after watching some great 80’s movies and TV shows and listening to some great 80’s music this year, I can definitely see why people may prefer the 80’s over any other decade. It definitely has some GREAT things about it, but also, like with any and every decade, there were some very problematic things in the 80’s that also, obviously, transferred over to its TV and movies especially. Things where I’m like, “I’m glad we’ve evolved past that” as a society, but we still have a lot of work to do. But this series of posts isn’t about getting political or too serious or anything like that, because my blog is all about JOY, FUN and NOSTALGIA.๐Ÿค๐Ÿ˜ŠGoing back to the times when things were simple and just made you feel good and happy. And my goal with each of these blog posts is to hopefully bring some of those feelings and vibes back just for the few minutes of you reading each one. Just like the TV shows, movies, and music of the 80’s definitely gave, whoever was watching and listening at the time, lots of JOY, FUN, and now, NOSTALGIA. And a NEW kind-of NOSTALGIA for those who didn’t get to experience it all then, like me. Although, the show that I’m talking about today is actually one of the very few 80’s shows that I actually did grow up watching, and have continued to LOVE since I first saw it when I was a kid in the 2000s. And I couldn’t think of any better way to start off this blog post series than with one of the BEST, MOST ICONIC and UNFORGETTABLE TV shows EVER, Who’s the Boss?. So, let’s get into it!

Who’s the Boss? is an ABC American sitcom created by television producers and business partners Martin Cohan and Blake Hunter, that ran from September 20, 1984 to April 25, 1992, totaling 196 23-minute episodes over eight seasons. The show stars Tony Danza as Tony Micelli, a former MLB player from New York City who becomes a live-in housekeeper for single advertising executive Angela Robinson Bower (Judith Light) in Fairfield, Connecticut, while raising his daughter Samantha Micelli (Alyssa Milano). The series’ cast also includes Katherine Helmond as Angela’s mother, Mona Robinson, and Danny Pintauro as Angela’s son Jonathan Bower. Who’s the Boss? became one of the most popular sitcoms of the 1980s, earning over 40 award nominations - including ten Primetime Emmy Awards and five Golden Globe Awards - winning one of each despite initially lukewarm reviews.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ The series was also very successful in the ratings. From 1985 to 1989, it was a top-ten primetime ratings hit, and has remained widely syndicated worldwide.

Like I mentioned briefly before, the plot of the show is about widower and former MLB player, Tony Micelli, who is forced to retire due to a shoulder injury. He moves out of Brooklyn in order to find a better environment for his daughter, Samantha (aka Sam), and ends up taking a job in the upscale suburb of Fairfield, Connecticut as a live-in housekeeper for divorced advertising executive Angela Bower and her young son, Jonathan. So they (Tony and Samantha) move into the Robinson-Bower family home, which also includes Angela’s bold, independent, free-spirited and sexually confident mother, Mona Robinson, who, let’s just say, actively pursues a vibrant dating life. She loves and dates all kinds of men and she’s unashamed of her desires.

The show’s title refers to the role reversal between Angela, the household’s breadwinner, and Tony, who (although he is not her husband) stays at home to take care of the household and provides guidance and support to the children (Samantha and Jonathan). By portraying Tony as sensitive, intelligent, and domestic with an interest in intellectual pursuits, and yet still athletic and streetwise, the series challenged contemporary stereotypes of young Italian-American males as purely macho, rough, and wholly ignorant of life outside of urban working-class neighborhoods. Easy-going and spontaneous Tony and self-controlled, driven Angela are attracted to each other, but both avoid confronting their feelings for one another for much of the show’s run. In other words, there is playful banter and many hints of their feelings for each other throughout the show’s run, but Tony and Angela do their best to avoid facing this aspect of their developing relationship choosing instead to date other people. Angela has more of a steady romantic interest in men, while Tony has more of a variety of girlfriends who come and go. However, in the meantime, they (Tony and Angela) grow into being best friends who rely on each other frequently for emotional support. Tony even becomes a father figure to Jonathan, while Angela (and Mona) give Samantha the female guidance she’s missing.

Keeping ties with Tony and Samantha’s Brooklyn roots is their former motherly neighbor Mrs. Rossini (Rhoda Gemignani), whose presence often irritates Mona. Various friends appear throughout the series, as well, in both New York and Connecticut. Angela also eventually launches her own advertising firm in season three, while Tony enrolls at Fairfield University, later attended by Samantha, as well. During those seasons, Samantha’s best friend Bonnie (Shana Lane-Black) appears frequently, and Sam begins dating Jesse Nash (Scott Bloom) during her sophomore year of high school.

SPOILER ALERT: In the eighth and final season, Tony and Angela do finally admit their love for each other. Although, the show does not end with the widely expected marriage, but instead on a more ambiguous note.๐Ÿ˜ž๐Ÿ‘ŽWhich was primarily due to network concerns that a definitive ending might hurt syndication. However, Tony Danza also vehemently opposed the marriage, apparently saying that it would contradict the original purpose of the show. Which as a long-time fan of this show, I completely understand both reasons for ultimately not having Tony and Angela wed each other at the end, but I (personally) don’t agree with either. I think the show still would have been a hit in syndication had the wedding happened and all, and I also believe that it wouldn’t have contradicted the original purpose of the show because the show went on long enough holding that purpose, and I think it was time for that premise to be wrapped up in a nice bow.๐Ÿ’—'Cause it’s not like everything before it would have been forgotten. If that makes sense. I don’t know. Again, that’s just how I feel about it.๐Ÿ˜ŠAnyways, SPOILER ALERT, also during the eighth and final season Samantha ends up falling in love with fellow college student Hank Thomopoulous, (Curnal Achilles Aulisio), who became a full-time character in January 1992. Hank shifts his plans from medicine to puppeteering, and he and Samantha become engaged and marry within weeks. So, there is a wedding that happens by the end of the show. Just not the one I would have preferred to see. But, I'm also more of a Jesse fan than a Hank fan.๐Ÿ˜Š

Like I briefly mentioned before, Who’s the Boss? was created in 1983 by Martin Cohan and Blake Hunter. But did you know that in early development, the show was originally titled You’re the Boss, emphasizing Angela hiring Tony and the gender-role reversal? However, it was renamed to a more open-ended title, Who’s the Boss? before its fall 1984 premiere to suggest that any of the main characters could get their way and be “the boss.” Which, I do believe that they went with the best title for the show.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜ŠTony Danza was always intended for his role as Tony Micelli, while Judith Light was chosen from many auditioning actresses for her standout performance. Which Blake Hunter commented was a "class [...] Jean Harlow type, or more of a Meryl Streep." Mona was first written as Angela’s older sister๐Ÿ˜ฎ, but difficulties in casting led producers Martin Cohan and Blake Hunter to rewrite her as a sharp-witted free spirit, a part they tailored for Katherine Helmond. Alyssa Milano and  Danny Pintauro were also selected after successful auditions.

The pilot of Who’s the Boss? was filmed in November 1983, a full 10 months before the show actually went on the air, but creative differences between the producers and the network (ABC) pushed the planned January 1984 mid-season launch to the following fall. The show finally premiered on September 20, 1984, airing up against the debut of another sitcom, NBC’s The Cosby Show. In the fall of 1991, Who’s the Boss? was moved from its seven-year-established Tuesday night slot to Saturday nights at 8 p.m., competing with NBC’s The Golden Girls, along with fellow long-running sitcom Growing Pains. ABC then rebranded the night as “I Love Saturday Night” in February 1992, an equivalent to the hit Friday TGIF block, adding long-running sitcom Perfect Strangers and the new cartoon Capitol Critters to the night and shifting Who’s the Boss? to 8:30 p.m., with Capital Critters as its lead-in. The I Love Saturday Night lineup folded by the end of that month, on February 29th, and Who’s the Boss? returned to the Saturday 8/7c slot in early March. After its move to a new time slot, the show’s ratings dropped significantly, leading to the decision to end the series in the spring of 1992.๐Ÿ˜”Its hour-long finale aired on Saturday, April 25, 1992—alongside the finales of Growing Pains and MacGyver—and reruns continued to air through the summer.

Like I also mentioned briefly before, early reviews of the show were lukewarm. With Jerry Buck for Ocala Star-Banner apparently noting that while the show “doesn’t have the same impact [as The Cosby Show], it’s not bad, either.”๐Ÿ‘ŽTo which I say, this show is way better than The Cosby Show in my opinion. Plus, I mean, The Cosby Show isn’t even watchable anymore, while Who’s the Boss? continues to stand the test of time. He (Buck) even compared Tony Danza and Judith Light’s on-screen chemistry to Katherine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy’s. While The Pittsburgh Press criticized Who’s the Boss? saying that, “the show may have a universal theme [but] it’s hard to find.”๐Ÿ‘ŽAgain, to which, I totally disagree. Duane Dudek of Milwaukee Journal Sentinel described the show as a “pleasant little sitcom” which was not a “struggle for mastery [but] in some ways, a rather old-fashioned love story.” John J. O’Connor of The New York Times was complimentary of the female leads, Judith Light and Katherine Helmond, but questioned whether Tony Danza, who "spends a good deal of time with his shirt off and his thick weight-lifted physique" would "keep this sitcom in ratings shape."๐Ÿ‘ŽWhich again, to that I just say, the lasting impact along with the awards and nominations this show received pretty much speak for themselves.

Plus, when it comes to syndication, ABC ran Who’s the Boss? reruns weekdays at 11:00 a.m. (EST) from June 1, 1987 to July 1, 1988, before replacing them with Growing Pains. The series entered off-network syndication in September 1989. The show was a success in syndication, and therefore was then widely carried by local stations throughout the 1990s.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘TBS began airing the show in October 1994, first in a one-hour early-evening block (7:08 p.m. EST), then they moved it to one airing in the early evenings (6:35 p.m. EST) on weekdays in July 1995, to mornings from October 1995 to December 1996, and then TBS briefly brought the show back for one last time in a one-hour evening slot  (at 7:05 p.m. EST) from August to October 1997.

From 1999 to 2014, Who’s the Boss? aired on numerous U.S. cable networks. It ran on Fox Family/ABC Family from 1999 to 2003, and from 2004 to 2007 it was syndicated through The Program Exchange. It ran on Nick at Nite from 2004 to 2006, with a special TV Land appearance in 2005 as part of Nick at Nite’s 20th Anniversary Celebration. It later appeared on Ion Television from July 2007 to February 2008, airing Monday-Thursdays at 9:00 and 9:30 pm. EST. It also began airing on the Hallmark Channel in an early afternoon weekday block from May 17, 2010 to April 2, 2011. In July 2012, the show began airing on TVGN, and on the Hub Network from April 1 until July 12, 2013. It also became part of TV Land’s regular lineup beginning June 1, 2014.

Several episodes from seasons one, two, and eight of Who’s the Boss? were once available for free in Minisode format on Crackle, formerly owned by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon’s IMDb TV service. It was announced on August 22, 2019 that Antenna TV would be airing reruns of the show in the fall of 2020, airing it from October 5, 2020, until its removal a year later in August 2021. The show later began airing on the new Great American Family network on November 29, 2021. Who’s the Boss? also began airing on Rewind TV at its launch on September 1, 2021, and later on IFC starting March 24, 2023. Apparently, in Canada, the entire show can be streamed for free on the CTV’s streaming service, CTV Throwback. In the U.S., clips and live episodes are available on Sony’s Throw Back TV YouTube channel, while full episodes of the show can be streamed whenever on Hulu and Roku Channel. In fact, the full series has been streaming on Hulu since December 8, 2023.

In terms of awards and nominations, like I mentioned briefly before, Who’s the Boss? received over forty award nominations, including ten Primetime Emmy Award nominations and five Golden Globe Award nominations, winning one each.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘Katherine Helmond received the 1989 Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress - Series, Miniseries, or Television Film, while Mark J. Levin was awarded the 1989 Emmy Award for Outstanding Lighting Direction for a Comedy Series for his work on the episode “Two on a Billboard.”๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ Alyssa Milano was also frequently nominated at the annual Young Artist Awards. She won three of those awards for her role as Samantha, while Danny Pintauro and recurring guest Scott Bloom each won one Young Artist Award.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

And not only is the show itself still SO ICONIC, NOSTALGIC, UNFORGETTABLE, and just GREAT, but so is the theme song itself.๐ŸŽถ♡ Literally, the Who’s the Boss? theme song is one of the GREATEST TV show theme songs OF ALL TIME. And I’m not over-exaggerating.๐Ÿ˜ŠSpeaking of the Who’s the Boss? theme song, “Brand New Life”, was also written by the series creators and executive producers Martin Cohan and Blake Hunter, with the music composed by Larry Carlton and Robert Kraft.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ Three versions of the song were used throughout the show’s run, which were performed by Larry Weiss (1984-1986), Steve Wariner (1986-1990), and Jonathan Wolff (1990-1992). The third version debuted in the last eight episodes of season six, and was slightly revised for seasons seven and eight. From season three onward, the opening line changed from “There is more to life than what you’re living” to “There’s a time for love and a time for living.”

There were three attempts for a spin-off of Who’s the Boss?. The first attempted Who’s the Boss? spin-off came from the season two finale, “Charmed Lives,” which served as a backdoor pilot for a show about two single career women in the ‘80s competing for the same job, and starred Fran Drescher and Donna Dixon. But, the concept was ultimately not picked up as a series. In 1987, producers also had planned a spin-off called Mona, in which Mona would leave Angela to help her brother Cornelius run a run-down Manhattan hotel. A two-part episode in season three of Who’s the Boss? featured this Mona plot, but after fearing what Mona’s departure could mean for the show, ABC ultimately canceled the Mona idea and rewrote the ending of that two-part episode so that Mona returned to Angela’s home, keeping her on Who’s the Boss?. And I'm glad they did.๐Ÿ˜ŠThen there was the third attempted spin-off, Living Dolls, which actually did make it to air in 1989. But it also ended that same year. The show starred Leah Remini, Michael Learned, and Halle Berry, and it followed Remini’s character, who was actually introduced on Who’s the Boss? having appeared in two episodes of the show as a friend of Samantha’s and a homeless model taken in by a modeling agent played by Michael Learned. In those same Who's the Boss? episodes, Jonathan Ward played Learned's son Rick, but David Moscow assumed the role for the spin-off (Living Dolls). Several international versions of Who’s the Boss? exist, as well. Produced either as dubbed adaptations or full remakes. In many of these foreign versions, the lead characters’ names were changed to suit local audiences.

Who’s the Boss? is still SO BELOVED that there’s even been talks about a reboot for years now. In August 2020, a revival/sequel of the series was announced, with Tony Danza and Alyssa Milano set to return as their roles of Tony and Samantha Micelli, respectively. It was later planned to premiere on Amazon Freevee in June 2022. However, in October 2024, the project was dropped by Freevee and shopped around to other channels.๐Ÿ˜žAnd even though I believe nothing can beat the original series, and most reboots/spin-offs are a miss, I would still LOVE to see anything with the OG cast of Who’s the Boss? reunited. I do also think it’s one of the few shows out there that could actually pull off a good reboot or spin-off. It would definitely be interesting to see, and VERY NOSTALGIC, which is always a PLUS. But for now, and forever, we do have the ORIGINAL episodes to watch and enjoy whenever we want. Which is what I decided to do at the beginning of this year. Watch every episode of Who’s the Boss? from the very beginning to the very end, in chronological order. And I can’t wait any longer to share with you what I found to be my FAVORITE episodes from EVERY season of the show.

But, before we finally get into my MOST FAVORITE episodes from each season of Who’s the Boss?, and the ones I believe to be the BEST episodes of each season, I just want to share my personal history with the show. How I came to know and love it.๐Ÿ˜Š As I’ve mentioned many times before, I obviously wasn’t born when this show was originally on the air, so I only caught the reruns later on. But, I actually do remember the FIRST time I was introduced to this show. The first time I ever saw it, because it’s a very specific, vivid memory I have that’ll I’ll never forget. I don’t remember exactly what age I was, but I know it was sometime when I was still in elementary school (k-5th), and reruns of the show were playing on Nick at Nite, I believe. I remember just hanging out in my parents room at the time, where my mom was, and I think one of my sisters. Maybe one, or both of my sisters were also in the room with us.๐Ÿค” It was nighttime and the TV that my parents had in their room was on. I don’t think any of us were really watching the TV. In fact, I think it was my mom that just had it on playing something while she was doing something else. But I just remember laying or sitting on my parents bed hanging out with her, and Who’s the Boss? came up on the TV. Somehow, someway. Maybe my mom was flipping through the channels or something. All I remember is looking up at the TV and seeing (what I now know to be) the fourth season theme song, and as it was playing but a bit before it got to Alyssa Milano’s name on the screen, my mom told me the girl on the show has my name. So, I just remember her pointing that out to me, and me thinking that was pretty cool. And since that night, I’ve never forgotten the Who’s the Boss? theme song. And since that time every time I watch an episode of the show, especially from that particular season, and see certain parts of that particular theme song, it always takes me back to that night when I first saw and heard the show’s theme song.๐Ÿค๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿ“บ

That same night, I don’t remember then watching the whole Who's the Boss? episode that was on, but I’m sure I watched a little bit of what came after the theme song. And that’s only because I was a kid, and I was into Disney Channel, and more kid shows like that. I wasn’t into what I used to think were “such old” shows. But I did come back around to wanting to watch Who's the Boss? on my own, and dive more into it, once I was in my teens. I think I was 14, maybe 15, when I started recording reruns of the show on TV. I even got the first season of the show on DVD when I was one of those ages, because I LOVED it so much. Probably for my birthday or Christmas.๐ŸŽ‚๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ„ So, I watched more of the show throughout my teen years. Although, weirdly enough, I never watched every season of the show until just a few years ago, when I was in my mid-20s. ‘Cause for some reason, when I was in my teens watching the show, I never wanted to watch past Season 2 of it. I used to never like watching the later seasons, just because I didn’t like seeing the characters get older, and that’s how I was with a lot of shows I watched back then.๐ŸคฃBut I’m definitely not like that now. I’m a completist when it comes to most shows that I start. Especially shows that I already like from the first few episodes. Plus, especially after rewatching Who’s the Boss? again for this, I’ve come to realize that the show just gets better when the characters grow up. At least, some of the later seasons are actually way better than some of the earlier seasons.

I do remember a time though, when I was a teen, trying to watch the later seasons, and I would just fast-forward through most of the scenes and just watch all of the scenes with Sam, because she was my favorite character on the show at the time, and I mostly just LOVED seeing the clothes she wore on the show. ‘Cause I’ve been obsessed with FASHION for a long time now. It was actually at that time, when my LOVE for this show first started, when I actually started really getting into fashion more, too. But, now as an adult, I appreciate the show for more than just the AMAZING 80’s fashion. In other words, after doing this, I’ve definitely found a new love and appreciation for this show. Which, I didn’t think was possible because I already LOVED it SO MUCH to begin with. But I just LOVE it even more now.๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ˜Š

Like I briefly mentioned before, the last time I watched Who’s the Boss? was a few years ago, when I was in my mid-20s. I watched it with my dad actually, but even then we didn’t watch the show from the very beginning to the very end. Instead, we started it from like the middle of the third or fourth season to the end. So, even though by that time (in 2023), I had seen every episode and every season of the show, I didn’t ever see it in chronological order from the very beginning to the very end. ‘Cause even when I would just watch the first two seasons when I was a teen, I also didn’t watch them in chronological order. Like how I decided to watch them now. I usually would just watch whatever episode I felt like watching that I had recorded on the TV. Except for the first time I watched my Season One DVD of the show. I did watch those episodes in the order in which they have them on the DVD. But that was just for that FIRST TIME in which I watched that DVD. So again, basically, this year was the VERY FIRST TIME that I watched Who’s the Boss? from the very beginning to the very end in chronological order. The way that I believe is the BEST way to watch a show if you’re just first watching it or starting it up again after awhile of not having seen it. It definitely makes for a whole different viewing experience, but in the BEST way. I actually wanted to watch it in chronological, production order, because that is actually the better way to watch a show, in the order that they filmed it, but I didn't find out that you can find the production order of shows until after I watched this whole show again. So, I definitely plan on watching Who's the Boss? again sometime in production order. But, that’s pretty much all of my history when it comes to being a fan of this show. And I’ll share even more memories I have when it comes to specific episodes of the show that happened to make it on this list, when we get to them. So, what are we waiting for, let’s get into the Top 3 BEST Episodes from EVERY Season of Who’s the Boss?!

Just a brief note before we begin: Since there are eight seasons of this show, to make it a fair and even total number of episodes, I decided to choose only THREE episodes from each season that are my most favorite and ones that I truly believe to be some of the BEST. So, three episodes from each season, which makes 24 total BEST episodes. The seasons are also not going in any particular order of what I like least or most best, only the episodes in each season. In other words, the seasons themselves are not ranked in any particular order, you will just see Season One’s episodes first, but then the episodes within that season (and for the episodes within seasons after that) are ranked from my least to most favorite. I will just tell you my favorite seasons in order at the very end of this post.

Also, unlike with what I decided to do with my Disney Channel shows BEST episodes blog post series, for my 80’s TV shows BEST episodes posts, and for this post specifically, I did choose to include the holiday-themed episodes in my list of TOP 3 favorite episodes, if I really did like them and thought a holiday-themed episode from the show deserved a TOP 3 spot on this list. And I chose to do that this time just because I feel like I messed up and should have done that for all of my Disney Channel show ones, too. ‘Cause even though a holiday episode is not one that I would choose to watch any time of the year, because it’s only made for one specific special day of the year, if a holiday episode is a great episode and better than some of the other episodes from a season of a show, then it should be included. Even though, again, holiday episodes may not seem fair to compare against non-holiday-themed  episodes, because holiday episodes are usually always more FUN, INTERESTING, GREAT, and just MORE UNFORGETTABLE, and probably just belong in their own category. But I decided it was fair for this. I mean, a good episode is a good episode. I hope all that makes sense. If not, it doesn’t really need to. You’ll understand more of what I mean once we get into the ranking. Now, for real this time, let’s get into the Top 3 BEST Episodes from EVERY Season of Who’s the Boss?!

Well, that concludes my ranking of the Top 3 BEST Episodes from EVERY Season of Who’s the Boss?! I really enjoyed getting to go back and re-watch this show from the very beginning to the very end and getting to share my thoughts and opinions about my favorite episodes here with you. Although, I do have more than just three favorite episodes from each season of this show. Just in order to save time and space I only included my three favorite episodes from each season in this post. But like I’ve said many times before, Who’s the Boss? has been a favorite show of mine to watch for a very long time now, and after watching it for the first time this year all the way through in chronological order, I’ve definitely found an even newer LOVE and APPRECIATION for it. Especially, after watching all of the other 80’s TV shows that I did for this little series of posts I’m doing, and seeing how it holds up against those other shows that were airing at or around the exact same time as Who’s the Boss? was.

Who’s the Boss? is still not only in my TOP 3 FAVORITE TV shows EVER, but it’s also, in my opinion, the BEST TV show from the 80’s period. (And I’m not including Full House in that list, because Full House was more 90’s.๐Ÿ˜Š) At least, MY FAVORITE 80’s show, anyway. Although, there is another 80’s show that I will also be talking about next that is a pretty close second to Who’s the Boss?. Let me just say family is still tied into it.๐Ÿ˜‰ So, you won’t want to miss that next post.

Well, I hope that you enjoyed reading this post as much as I enjoyed creating it. I would love to know is Who’s the Boss? one of your favorite shows? What’s your favorite episode or season of the show? Let me know in the comments below and come Back to the 80’s soon for more NOSTALGIC FUN!❤️๐Ÿค

Oh, and speaking of episodes and seasons, I know I mentioned at the beginning of this post that I would let you know my favorite seasons of Who’s the Boss? from my most favorite to least favorite, so I will do that now, before I sign off. The seasons of Who’s the Boss? go like this for me (again, from my MOST to LEAST FAVORITE): Season 4, Season 7, Season 8, Season 1, Season 6, Season 3, Season 5, then Season 2. Now, if you’ve never seen Who’s the Boss? before, I highly suggest that you go watch it as soon as possible. ‘Cause if any of the 24 episodes that I mentioned here got you interested, or already invested in the show or characters at all, than you’re for sure going to enjoy watching the entire series. But it’s all up to you.๐Ÿ˜ŠThough, I’ll see you soon with another VERY 80’s NOSTALGIC post!✌️๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿค❤️
